The program, which will be available to Thailand Privilege cardholders, requires an investment of at least US $ 1 million within one year of registration. Foreigners who apply to participate in this program will be able to obtain a work permit. Investments that a foreigner can make in Thailand will be limited to real estate, public limited companies, stock exchanges, equities, bonds and any investment units authorized by the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Holders of the Thailand privilege card, including their spouses and children under the age of 20, will be eligible for a so-called “smart visa” for temporary residence for a period of 5 years.

This visa can be extended for the duration of their investment in Thailand. The Tourism Authority of Thailand expects this special benefit campaign to attract 10,000 high-income foreigners and bring about 300 billion baht to the Thai economy.
